Garbisch, Bertha (1893 - 1980)


Bertha Garbisch, 87, of route 1, Granton, Clark County, died on Friday, Dec. 26, 1980 at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville.


The funeral was conducted by Rev. Horst Augustin at Zion Lutheran Church, Granton, at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 29. Burial was in the church cemetery.


She married Bernhard Garbisch on Sept. 16, 1919. They farmed in the Town of York.


Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Leland (Ellenora) Reich of Granton and Mrs. George (Ruth) Severson of Ogdenburg three sons, Harold of Granton, Bernard of Arpin and Rueben of Granton 12 grandchildren seven great-grandchildren two sisters, Gertrude Garbisch of Granton and Mrs. George (Anita) Guenther of Eau Claire and three brothers, Eldabartz, Henry and Louis, all of Granton.


Preceding her in death were her husband two brothers and one sister.


Roger Garbisch, Harold Schlinsog, Erlin Dahl, Walter Helm, roger Helm and Leland Garbisch served as pallbearers. Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton, was in charge of arrangements.
