Cain, Ulysses (1910 - 1981)


Ulysses Cain, 70, of Route 2, Loyal, Clark County, died accidentally about 8:30 a.m., Monday, Feb. 9, 1981.


Services for Mr. Cain will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. Rev. Joseph R. Kraly will officiate and burial will be in the Loyal Cemetery.


Friends may call at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, after 3 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 11, and after 9:30 Thursday at the church, until the time of service.


Ulysses Cain was born Aug. 4, 1910 in Watson, Canada, to Walter and Amanda (nee Johnson) Cain, and received his education at Weyauwega Schools.


He married Elsie Langfeldt on June 12, 1929, at Neillsville. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1979.


After their marriage, they farmed in the Town of Beaver until Dec. 1, 1956, when they moved to the City of Loyal. He had been employed by the City of Loyal for the past 16 years.


Surviving him are his wife, Elsie one son, Wayne of Leavenworth, Wash. one daughter, Mrs. Lester (Zada) Bloom of Loyal one sister, Mrs. Phoebe Karnopp of Winifred, Mont. five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.


He was preceded in death by a half-brother and a half-sister.


Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, is handling the arrangements.
