WILLIAM A MCNITT
 

William Alexander McNitt, 84, Withee, Clark County, died on Thursday, June 17, 1993, at 1:42 a.m. at victory Medical Center, Stanley. Funeral services were Saturday, June 19, 1993, at the Maurina funeral Home in Owen at 1:00 p.m. Theresa Schindler served as organist and Mickey Wendland was soloist. Rev. Paul Petersen officiated and burial was in the Riverside Cemetery, Withee. Pallbearers were Matthew Kopacz, Noah, Glenn and Weaver Zimmerman, Joseph Adams and Bernard Rusch.


William McNitt was born on Oct. 27, 1908 in Menasha to Charles F. and Margie (Neff) McNitt. He moved with his parents to homestead the family farm in 1911 in the Town of Longwood. He attended the former Poppe School. A single man, he and his brother continued to farm until retirement in 1989. He resided on the family farm until his death.


Survivors include one brother, Lewis F. McNitt, a resident at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen two sisters, Ruth Arnold and Mrs. Robert (Margaret) DeWeert, both of Neenah and many nieces and nephews.


He was predeceased by his parents one brother, Lawrence and one sister, Nellie Krause.
