Herbert Norton was born August 27, 1860, the son of Asaph and Marcia Lucretia Ware.  He married Delia F. July 23, 1884.  She was January, 1864.  They were the parents of two children, one which is buried in the Greenwood City Cemetery (Herbert M. "Bertie") who died at the age of six years of age.
