Mrs. Harry Bodle Dies Friday Night

Had Been in Ill Health For Over a Year, and Death Came As a Relief From Great Physical Suffering.  Funeral Held Monday.

Mrs. Henry Bodle, aged 60 years, one of the better known residents of the village of Spencer, died at her home here Friday night about 10:15 o’clock.  Mrs. Bodle was afflicted with an incurable disease, and even though she suffered great bodily pain, she bore her cross patiently, waiting for the call from the hereafter, knowing that was the only relief she could expect from her ailment.

Mrs. Bodle, the former Donna Blaisdell, was born in Dorchester on January 30, 1881, and in 1910 was married to Harry Bodle at Eau Claire, and for the past 37 years they have made Spencer their home.  No children were born to their union, the deceased being survived by her husband; a sister, Mrs. Ada Graves of Long Beach, Calif., and two brothers, Guy Blaisdell, and Eugene Blaisdell of Oakland Calif.

The body of the deceased was taken to the Swarthout Funeral Home, where it lay in state until the time of the funeral, which was held Monday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Funeral Home, with Rev. Ellery J. Beal, pastor of the Spencer Methodist church in charge of the services.  Interment took place in the Spencer cemetery.  Pall bearers were John Davel, H. C. Andrews, J. F. Neidlein, P. Hayward, J. L. Driscoll and G. S Ingham.  Those in charge of the flowers were Mesdames W. G. Holterman, F. V. McIlhattan, Ora Schaefer, Harry Prehn, Max Stoltenow and John Holzschuh.
