PIPER - LAUENSTEIN NUPTIALS WERE SATURDAY

 

Now touring the southern states are the former Marlene Pieper and James Lauenstein, following their marriage Saturday in Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. John Pfohl officiated at the 2 p.m. rites.

 

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Pieper, Loyal, chose a gown with a bodice of lace. The round neckline was outlined with pearls and sequins. The sleeves were full length. The full skirt consisted of tiers of permanent pleated nylon ruffles with lace panels in the front and back, the back panel extending into a slight train. To a headpiece of lace and pearls was attached her fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white narrcissi. She was presented in marriage by her father.

 

Miss Joyce Pieper, serving as maid of honor for her sister wore a street-length dress of light pink. The jersey bodice was made with three-quarter length sleeves and a v-shaped back and the bouffant skirt was fashioned of taffeta, with overskirts of net and chiffon. Her headpiece was white and pink carnations.

 

Mrs. Arthur Olsen came from Milwaukee to be her sister's bridesmaid. Her cotillion blue dress was designed similarly to the gown of the maid of honor and her headpiece was white and blue carnations.

 

Miss Karen Sue Pieper, Loyal, also a sister of the bride was junior bridesmaid and wore a street length yellow dress with three-quarter lenght sleeves and a v-shaped back. Taffeta was used to make the bodice and the skirt was of taffeta and net. Her headpiece was white and yellow carnations.

 

Sharon Helm, Loyal, a neice of the bride was flowergirl, and a nephew of the bride, Dennis Pieper of Curtiss, was the ring-bearer.

 

Louis De Pas, Milwaukee, was the best man for the son of Mr. C. J. Luenstein, Milwaukee. Arthur Olsen, Milwaukee, brother-in-law of the bride was groomsman. Ushers were Delmar Pieper, Curtiss, brother of the bride, and Eugene Dix, Milwaukee, brother-in-law of the groom.

 

Miss Carol Noeldner was organist and Miss Karen Haseiow sang, "The Lord's Prayer" and "O Perfect Love."

 

The brides mother wore a navy blue dress with white trim and white and navy accessories. Her corsage was pink roses and white carnations.

 

The grandmother of the bride wore a navy blue dress with navy accessories. Her corsage was also pink roses and white carnations.

 

The wedding supper was served in the Trinity Church dining room and a reception was held at the bride's home.

 

The bride is a graduate of the Loyal High School and has been employed in the office of the Wisconsin Gasket Co. in Granville. The groom attended Boy's Technical High School in Milwaukee. He is an A/1C of the U.S. Air Force.

 

The new Mr. and Mrs. James Lauenstein will live in Tuscon, Arizona.

 

Out of town guests came from Milwaukee, Curtiss, Greenwood, Madison, Beaver Dam, and Unity.
