Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Phipps entertained some 46 of their friends and neighbors at a hard time party Thursday night last week. Music and games with a good lunch furnished some entertainment, but the comic suits of the guests provoked much mirth. Mrs. Arthur Phipps readily carried off the honors as having the best costume among the ladies, while Fred Frank carried off the gentís prize. It was an all-night session, the guests leaving int eh wee small hours of the morning.
W.J. Davis went to Milwaukee Monday to attend the funeral of his mtoehr Mrs. Curtis who died there Sunday morning.
Mr. and Mrs. M. Dorst and sons Leonard and Raymond, and daughter Mabel, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Frank.
Mrs. George Phipps and daughter Garnette spent several days of last week at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Phipps.
Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Davis and daughters Sara and Ursula spent Sunday evening at M. Dorstís.
Mrs. Fred Tyler and two youngest children were sick Friday and Saturday of last week.
Miss Nell Dorst spent Monday at Neillsville between trains.
Mr. A.W. Phipps took a sleigh load of young people to Justin Johnsonís Tuesday evening, where the evening was spent playing games, eating a fine supper and pulling candy.
Mrs. S. Martin and children spent several days at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hayden, while Mr. Martin was at Osseo last week.
Miss Sara Davis spent Monday afternoon with Nell and Elsie Dorst.
