Drescher, Laura (21 October 1891 - 14 June 1966)
Mrs. Arnold Drescher, 74, of Rt. 1 Neillsville, died Monday in Neillsville. Funeral services are to be held Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock from the United Church of Christ in Neillsville. The Rev. W. C. Koehler will officiate and burial will be made in the Town of Grant Cemetery.
Mrs. Drescher, the former Laura Gerzmehle, daughter of the late Ernest and Amelia (Marg) Gerzmehle, was born October 21, 1891, in the Town of Grant, where she resided all her life. Besides attending school in Grant, she also attended St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran School in Neillsville. On December 31, 1913, she was married to Arnold Drescher in Marshfield. Mr. and Mrs. Drescher operated a farm in Grant.
She is survived by her husband and four children: Mrs. Arvid (Jeanette) Watenpuhl of rural Neillsville, Mrs. Ervin (Evelyn) Silkey of Marshfield, Leonard Drescher of rural Neillsville and Lawrence Drescher of Neillsville. Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Amanda (Ed) Lautenbach of Rt. 1 Granton; a brother, Louis Gerzmehle of Wisconsin Rapids, and seven grandchildren.
The Georgas Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services were held Friday from the United Church of Christ for Mrs. Arnold Drescher, 74, of rural Neillsville, who died June 14. The W. C. Koehler officiated and burial was made in the Town of Grant Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Ernest Ziglinsky, Raymond Zipfel, Leon Stanley, Arthur Hubing, Ernest Kuechenmeister, and Ben Dux.
"Sometime We’ll Understand" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" were sung, by Mrs. W. C. Koehler, accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.
Relatives from away here for the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Silkey and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene D. Thiede of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lautenbach of Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Gerzmehle, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Gerzmehle, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Gerzmehle and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Witt, all of Wisconsin Rapids; and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Drescher of Tomah.
