Well dear readers, as we aren’t capable of slamming all our people of this community as our friend the Press correspondent did in last week’s items, we just try and tell the truth.

We hear that Mr. C.C. Beebe is in our midst again.

Millie Larson will accompany Floyd Wall’s family Thursday in their move to Janesville, where Floyd and his brother will work a large farm together.

The auction at Mr. Pernod’s last Thursday was largely attended and all goods went very high.

Mr. Hackbarth and his brother from Janesville have been buying cattle in this and surrounding vicinities the past week.  He shipped the carload Tuesday of this week.

The ladies aid society will meet with Mrs. John Kurth April 12th.

Tehre were services in the church Saturday and Sunday nights and services were announced for next Saturday night also.

The birthday surprise on Mrs. Mary Hohenstein and Herbert Kauth at Mr. John Kauth’s home Saturday night was largely attended and a very enjoyable time was reported.

Mr. and Mrs. Lamp, with their little daughter Lillian, came down from City Point Sunday and visited their daughter, Mrs. R. Galbreath, until Tuesday.

Mrs. Tom Lowery is on the sick list and Dr. Rath is in attendance.
