Bielecki, George L. (1 November 1932 – 14 May 2012) With Flag

 

George L. Bielecki, age 79, of Cadott, formerly of Stanley, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012, at the Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire. George was born November 1, 1932, in Withee, Town of Reseburg, the son of the late Frank & Veronica (Platt) Bielecki. He grew up in the Thorp area and attended area schools.  He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army, and then on February 21, 1959, he was united in marriage to Marian Berzinski with the couple residing in Stanley. George was employed at the Cardinal Corporation and then at IKE International until retirement.  In his spare time George enjoyed being at their cottage at Rock Dam, deer hunting, fishing, and going to thrift sales and flea markets.

 

George is survived by his wife, Marian; daughter, Cindy (Bernard) Siverling of Cadott; grandchildren: Bernard “Benji” (Jenna Haroldson), Vanessa (Scott) Johnson, and Tiffany; brothers: Tony (Judy) Bielecki of Stanley, and William (Linda) Bielecki of Thorp; and sister, Rosaline Rice of Powell, WY; plus numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his son, George Jr. in 2005; brothers: Leonard and Donald Bielecki; and a sister, Theresa Fifer.

 

Services will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Plombon Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Welch officiating with burial to follow in the Oakland Cemetery, at Stanley.  Friends and family called Wednesday evening from 4-8 p.m. at the Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley and one hour prior to service time on Thursday morning.
