Crotzer, Gerald ‘Mickey’ (24 December 1911 - 4 August 1966)

 

Gerald (Mickey) Crotzer, 54, of Willard died August 4, of a heart attack at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.

 

Mr. Crotzer was born December 24, 1911, at Willard. He was married August 1, 1936, to Mary Hribar in Chicago, Ill.  He was employed as a machinist in Chicago, and came back to Clark County in 1946 and farmed for 12 years in Willard. Since 1952 he had operated the Lakeside Lodge at Rock Dam.  For eight years he was first supervisor in the Town of Hendren. He was a member of the Rock Dam Rod and Gun Club.

 

Surviving are his wife, and four brothers: Brian Glass of Neillsville, Walter Backus of Willard, Edward Backus of Brookfield, Ill., and Gayes Crotzer of Superior; and two sisters, Mrs. Chester (Geraldine) Dolojeck of Superior and Mrs. T. R. (Helen) O’Connor of Fifield.

 

Funeral services were held August 8 from the Hill Funeral Home. The Rev. William Nikolai of the Holy Family Church in Willard officiated. Burial was made in the Holy Family Cemetery in Willard.

 

Pallbearers were: Brian Glass, Walter and Edward Backus, Gayes Crotzer, Ludwig and Walter Hribar.


Mrs. Wayne Voss sang “Beyond the Sunset” and “In the Garden,” accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Don Warner.
