Carter, Pvt. David L. (Military Notes - 1966)

David L. Carter, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl B. Carter of Neillsville, was promoted to private, first class, recently in Germany, where he is serving with the 2d Armored Cavalry regiment.

Pvt. Carter, a heavy-equipment operator in the regiment’s 84th Engineer Company, entered on active duty in December, 1965, completed basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., in February and arrived overseas last month.

He is a 1965 graduate of Columbus High School in Marshfield, and was employed in Marshfield, before entering the army.
