Wall, Lynn (11 Mar 1915 - 1 Mar 1953)


Lynn Wall, 38, former Evansville police officer, was found dead Sunday morning in the garage of his home on Route 1, Waunakee. Acting Dane County Coroner Norman Anderson said the death was a suicide from carbon monoxide poisoning.


The son of Harley and Mary Ellis Wall, he was born March 11, 1915, in Neillsville. He moved to Evansville with his parents, and was married in Evansville June 4, 1937, to Irene Marden. They lived in Evansville from 1938 until a year ago. During that time he was on the Evansville police force for several years. At the time of his death he was employed by the Oscar Mayer Co.


Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Elaine, and a son, Duane, at home; a brother, Fred, of Neillsville; and two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Robbins, Evansville, and Mrs. Marion Briggs, of Janesville.


The funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Allen Funeral Home in Evansville. The Rev. Theodore Krause, Baptist pastor, officiated, and burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery.
