Beeckler, Orra (13 January 1887 - 28 October 1966)

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Granton Methodist Church for Mrs. Orra Beeckler, 79, a former Granton resident who had been making her home in Memorial Home in Neillsville. She died Friday in Neillsville. The Rev. Oscar Nichols of Neillsville officiated, with burial in Windfall Cemetery.

Mrs. Beeckler, the former Orra Converse, was born January 13, 1887, in the Town of Grant. On February 22, 1910, she was married to William Price Beeckler, who died in 1918. Following the death of her husband Mrs. Beeckler made her home with her mother and brother in the Granton area.

She is survived by a son, Allen Beeckler of Bozeman, Mont., and by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

“Have you been in the Garden with Jesus” and “Go Bury Thy Sorrow” were sung by Mrs. William Schmidtke and Mrs. Van Kayser, accompanied by Miss Ruth Pietenpol.

Pallbearers were: William Schmidtke, Halvor Eide, Ernest Aeschbacher, William Beeckler, Grant Johnson and Irving Gower.

Funeral arrangements were made by the Gilbertson Funeral Home.
