Zimmer, Margaret (27 MAR 1866 - 3 DEC 1914)

Margaret Zimmer was born Margaret Murphy at Quebec, Canada, and at the time of her death was 48 years, 8 months and 6 days of age. She came to Wisconsin in Oct, 1882, and on June 30, 1887, was united in marriage to Ben Zimmer. Six children were born to them, five of whom survive their mother and father, Mayme Zimmer having died sixteen years ago, three weeks before her father passed away. The surviving children are George, Phii., Frank, Helen and Tony.

Mrs. Zimmer was a lady who can only be spoken of in the very highest terms of praise. She was possessed of an unbounded charity and kindness which knew no personal comfort but which was at all times extended in behalf of those who needed it. She was always ready with personal assistance and words of comfort and being possessed of a bright and cheery disposition and a ready wit she made herself indispensible to a large circle of friends. Mrs. Zimmer was a member of St. Mary’s Church and an active worker in the Altar Society of that congregation. She passed away on Thursday, Dec. 3, and was laid to rest on the following Saturday, services being held at St. Mary’s Church and interment being made in the Catholic cemetery.
