Humbird (20 April 1967)

Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Williams returned Friday night from a trip to Canastota, S. D.

Mr. and Mrs. Leland Hanson and family of Granton and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hanson and daughter of Janesville visited Mrs. Christine Hanson Sunday.

Mrs. Fred Traschel and Mrs. Matie Smith drove to Rochester, Minn., Monday to take Mrs. Trachsel’s mother, Mrs. Greta Anderson, there for a checkup.

Mr. and Mrs. Archie Nelson of Eau Claire called at the Newton home Sunday, and then, with Mrs. Newton, drove to Sparta to have dinner and spend the day with Mrs. Frances Russell and daughter.

Mrs. Perle Pickett underwent major surgery at a hospital in Eau Claire last Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Laffe drove to Loyal Sunday to call at the Ben Clouse home and then, with Mr. and Mrs. Clouse, drove to Medford to spend a few hours with their uncle, Charles Luepke, who is 91 years of age. They found him well and interested in his friends and the happenings of the world.
