Messerschmidt, Delores (03 Sept 1960)

Delores June Messerschmidt of Phillips became the bride of Chester Daniel Rinehart, Jr., Saturday, September 3 in the Presbyterian Church at Phillips. The Rev. Barthel officiated at the 2 o’clock ceremony before an altar decorated with white and pink glads. Mrs. Bob Mess sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and “O Promise Me.”

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ray Messerschmidt of Phillips and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Rinehart, Sr. Loyal.

Linda Messerschmidt of Phillips was her sisters maid of honor and bridal aides were Arlene Rinehart, a sister of the groom, Rebecca Dennis and Sandra Dennis, cousins of the bride. They wore blue chiffon frocks in a waltz length which featured a picture collar. They carried colonial bouquets of blue & white streamers. Mary Messerschmidt was the flower girl.

David Roy Messerschmidt, a brother of the bride, was best man and groomsmen were Jerry Drabnik, Ronald Sedovic and Glendon Neuman, a cousin of the bride.

The bride chose a floor length gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle, styled with long sleeves that tapered to a point over the hand. The neckline was scalloped & accented with iridescents and her veil draped from a crown of pearls. Her jewelry was a necklace of hand carved ivory flowers and earrings, a gift of the groom. She held pink and white sweetheart roses with white streamers.

The bride’s mother wore a royal blue chiffon and satin dress and a rose corsage. The groom’s mother was seen in a forest green dress with an orchid corsage.

A reception was held at the church parlors and supper was served at the home of Mrs. Joe Bruno, the bride’s grandmother.

The groom is a student at Taylor County Teachers College and is teaching at the Spokeville School. The couple will live in Abbotsford.
