Bednarczyk, John Sr. #3 (11 NOV 1874 - 30 APR 1963)

John Bednarczyk Sr. 88, who lived alone in the town of Roosevelt was found dead by the assessor about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 1963. He was last seen alive at 2:45 p.m. by a neighbor. A heart attack was the apparent cause of death.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday morning at the Thorp Funeral Home and 10:30 at the St. Mary’s Polish National Church in Lublin, Wis. Father Anthony Matla officiated and burial was made in the parish cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were: Stanley Kaczubowski, Steve Shewczyk, John Syryczuk, Donald Syryczuk, John Szemraj and Walter Ruda

Mr. Bednarczyk was born in Poland Nov. 11, 1874 and married Anna Takarz in Poland. He came to the U.S.A. in 1910 and settled in Jennerstown, Pa. and worked in the coal mines. In 1921 he came to Lublin, Wis. and farmed for a few years, then lived in Redville on a farm till he was divorced and again moved to the Town of Roosevelt and farmed till the time of death.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Anna Bednarczyk of Redville, seven daughters, four sons, eighteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, (Nellie) Mrs. Frank Pomietlo of Stanley, Wis., (Marie) Mrs. Jack Mosley of Jeffersonville, Ind., Mrs. Annette Rose of Withee, Wis., Mrs. Sonia Borcher of Cleveland, Ohio, (Victoria) Mrs. Charles Johnson of Thorp, Wis., (Elizabeth) Mrs. James Sheehan of Chicago, Ill., (Evelynne) Mrs. Henry Hryniewicki of Schofield, Wis., Michael Bednarczyk of Jeffersonville, Ind., Stanley Bednarczyk of Chrisney, Ind., M/Sgt. John Bednarczyk Jr., U.S. Army, Hawaii, Richard Badnarczyk of Milwaukee, Wis.

His parents, brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
