Pflughoeft, Hazel J. (5 FEB 1941 - 27 AUG 2012)

Hazel J. Pflughoeft, age 71, of Loyal, WI, formerly of Neillsville, WI died on Monday, August 27, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, WI.

Hazel Jean Schwamb was born on Feb. 5, 1941 in Neillsville, WI the daughter of Theodore & Frieda (Rath) Schwamb. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1959 and worked as a teller at the First National Bank until 1961. She was united in marriage on July 22, 1961 to Donald Pflughoeft. Together they farmed and raised their family. During this time Hazel liked to bowl, cook and spend time with her Homemakers group trading recipes. After they retired from the farm in 1995 she liked to spend time with family and friends. She also worked part time in the deli at the Loyal IGA. Hazel was a member of the Loyal United Methodist Church and served on the church council. She also loved delivering the Buyer's Guide with her husband, going with Donnie gambling and watching the Milwaukee Brewers. Hazel and Donald just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary with a party for family and friends.

Hazel is survived by her husband, Donald, a son, Dale Pflughoeft of Kronenwetter a daughter, Lori (Larry) Buffington of Marshfield and four grandchildren, Kayla Buffington, Chris, Erin & Hannah Pflughoeft.

Funeral services for Hazel will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, WI. Pastor Patsy Roe will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Gesche Funeral Home. Interment will be in Neillsville City Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be John Fields, Steve Reising, Les Delo, Kelly Hanson, Larry Buffington and Craig Brandt.
