Pink and white roses decorated St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church, Lublin, for the marriage of Miss Sarah Jean Damski and Lawrence A. Olejniczak on Saturday, June 1st, 1963. Rev. A. Matla performed the ten a.m. double ring ceremony and Rev. Krysinski performed the High Mass. Mrs. Sally Hucker provided the organ music.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Damski, Lublin, and the groom is the son of Mrs. Vena Koney, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and the late Mike Olejniczak of Calif.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of white lace and tulle over taffeta styled with fitted bodice and the neckline was scalloped in lace edging. The skirt was a flounce of tulle with a peplum of lace falling from the waist in front, extending down the sides. The back panel was in alternate flounce of lace and tulle. The bridal veil of silk illusion was attached to a crown of pearls and she carried a white orchid on a prayer book. Her jewelry, a diamond leaf pendant of sterling silver, was a gift of the groom.

Sandra Jarocki, the groom’s sister, was matron of honor and bridesmaid was Evelyn Peck, the bride’s cousin, wearing a pink nylon chiffon dress with cummerbund and lace jacket. Their headpieces were permanent pleated white nylon hats with veil. Their jewelry, a diamond cross pendant of sterling silver, was a gift of the bride. Debra Jarocki, the groom’s niece was junior bride and flower girl, wearing a dress like the bride’s, which was made by the bride’s mother.

Robert Olejniczak was his brother’s best man, and groomsman was the bride’s cousin, Donald Peck. Danny Olejniczak, the groom’s nephew, was ring bearer, and ushers were Roger Olejniczak and George Jarocki.

Pink and white streamers decorated Marion Sciezor’s Hall for the 11:30 wedding breakfast and six p.m. reception for the 300 guests. A dance was held in the evening with music by the Mike Kryzanski band.

The bride’s mother wore a blue dress and the groom’s mother wore a silk blue flowered dress with white accessories, and each wore a red rose corsage.

The bride attended St. Hedwig’s and Thorp High School, and received a diploma from the Post Graduate School of Nursing as a practical nurse and is employed by St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, Minn.
