Fisher, Nancy Ann (26 JUN 1963)

Miss Nancy Ann Fisher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Fisher, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Ronald James Haas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Haas, Mount Hope, on Saturday, June 26th, 1963 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp. Rev. Francis Brockman performed the ten a.m. ceremony.

The bride’s floor length gown of silk organza accented with sweeping train flowing from the waist. The bodice was styled with long sleeves and scalloped neckline accented by lace applique and seed pearls. Her fingertip veil flowed from a pearl and crystal crown and she carried a white orchid and stephanotis.

Miss Nancy Malinowski was maid of honor, wearing a floor length blue silk organza gown styled with scalloped neckline and 3/4 length sleeves. A small blue flower hat and veil highlighted the ensemble and she carried a bouquet of white, pink and yellow daisies. The bridesmaids dressed in a similar attire were: Barbara Pabich, a friend, and Mary Beth and Kathleen Fisher, sisters of the bride.

Cedric Knoke of Lancaster was best man and groomsmen were Tim Murray, Lancaster, Theodore (Dick) Haas, Mt. Hope, brother of the groom, and William Fisher, brother of the bride. Ushers were Donald Hauth and Jerry Ertz, both of Lancaster.

A dinner for all the guests was held at St. Bernard’s Hall with a reception following at the home of the bride.

The bride, a graduate of Thorp High School, has been employed with the Department of Taxation in Madison in the IBM Dept. The groom graduated from Lancaster High School and is employed at the Freeman Shoe Co. in Beloit. The new couple will make their home at 730 1/2 McKinley Ave., Beloit.
