Madeline Trautsch, Verona, WI, formerly of Eastman, WI, July 23, 2012
Madeline M. Trautsch, 90, Verona, Wisconsin, formerly of Eastman, Wisconsin, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012, in Verona. She was born April 1, 1922 in Ferryville, Wisconsin to Walter and Anna (Knoble) Frazier.
Madeline married Paul Trautsch November 15, 1946 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. She farmed for many years with her husband and worked at 3M for fourteen years. Madeline was a hard worker and was well known for her beautiful flower gardens. She enjoyed quilting, knitting and crocheting and made many beautiful quilts, afghans and doilies for family and friends. Madeline had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a smile and kind words for everyone. She was a wonderful loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
Madeline is survived by children, James (Annette) Trautsch of Humbird, Wisconsin, Phillip (Mary) Trautsch of Madison, Wisconsin, Corinne (Terry) Kramer of Erie, Colorado and Patricia Walker of Verona, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; one sister, Florence Olson of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; two brothers, Harold (Vivian) Frazier of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin and Gerald Frazier.
Madeline was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; two grandchildren, Bradley and Crystal Walker; her parents, Walter and Anna Frazier, four sisters, Mary (Tootie) Thompson, Helen Kaune, Evelyn Mitchell, Mildred Meiller and one brother, Floyd Frazier.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at 12:00 pm at the Thornburg – Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Prairie du Chien, WI. Visitation will be held two hours before services on Saturday at the funeral home.
Inurnment will follow in the National Cemetery, Eastman, WI.
