Donald Anderson, 85, Neillsville, died July 7, 2012, at is home.
Donald was born Mach 6, 1927, in Eau Claire, to Andrew and Mary Ann (Swanson) Anderson. He was educated in Eau Claire schools and then served in the U. S. Army Air Corps, attaining the rank of master sergeant. He was machine shop instructor at Chanute Field and then served in the reserves for nine years. Donald was employed as a tool and die-maker in Middleton and then owned and operated Anderson Tool & Die in Baraboo. He later resided at Crooked River Ranch in Oregon and returned to the Town of Washburn, Clark County, in 1989.
Donald married Lenore Lovejoy July 4, 1951. She preceded him in death Aug. 10, 2009.
Donald is survived by four children, Jacquelyn (Steven) Vieira, Gridley, CA, Donna Shields, Neillsville, Edward Anderson (Elaine Kaczmarek), Black River Falls, Tonjia (James) Beck, Crooked River Ranch, OR; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one sister, Virginia Gardner, Eau Claire.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and 11 siblings.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, at Buchanan Funeral Home, Neillsville. Family will greet friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
