High School Notes (18 MAR 1915)

The high school basketball team, accompanied by Mr. Crandall, left Tuesday noon to take part in the Southern Wisconsin Tournament at Milton College. The team was given a rousing send-off at the assembly period Tuesday, and the students feel that every member of the team will do his best to bring back the tournament trophy.

Mr. Stevenson visited his family at La Crosse Saturday and Sunday.

Report cards for the sixth month were given out Monday.

In the spelling and arithmetic contests between the fifth and sixth grades of the north and south sides, last Friday afternoon, the south side were the winners in each contest. The north side third and fourth grade defeated the same grade of the south side in spelling.

About thirty high school pupils went to Granton Saturday night to give an entertainment for the Circle of that place. The program consisted of songs by the Glee Clubs and Boys Quartet, a reading by Frieda Radke, and an address by Mr. Schatz.

The subject of the picture lecture Wednesday is Alice in Wonderland.
