Gago, Jane C. (17 AUG 1963)

Miss Jane Charlene Gago, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Gago, Washburn, and Kenneth Weiler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Weiler, Colby, were united in marriage Saturday morning, Aug. 17, 1963, at the 11 a.m. nuptial mass held in St. Louis Catholic Church, Washburn.

Music was provided by Tim Hirsch, Medford, soloist, and his accompanist, Miss Lynda Hagstrom, cousin of the bride. Two selections, "Ave Maria" and "Blessed by This Day" were sung.

Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride was given in marriage wearing a full length gown of taffeta with embroidered V-shaped bodice leading to a Sabrina neckline adorned with seed pearls. The long embroidered sleeves tapered to a point and fastened with taffeta buttons. The bouffant skirt was complemented by two embroidered panels with the back panel forming a chapel train. Her fingertip veil was attached to a seed pearl crown centered with a tear drop crystal. The bride carried a cascade arrangement of philanpolis orchids, stephanotis and ivy.

The maid of honor, Carol Dibbell, sister of the bride, and two bridesmaids, Miss Elen Smith and Mrs. Gary Holman were seen in identical peacock blue sheaths of taffeta with detached overskirts. Accenting each gown was a flower identical in color to to those adorning their headpieces. They carried cascade bouquets of white carnations trimmed with white tulle bows.

Flower girl was Elizabeth Telford, who wore a full length peacock blue gown similar in design to the bridesmaids' attire. She carried a tiny basket of white pompons and pink roses.

Randy Foris, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.

The best man was Gerhard Weiler, and the two attendants were Glen and Jerome Weiler, all brothers of the bridegroom.

Following the nuptial rites, a reception was held at the MCK's Beach Club House.

Those who attended from the Colby area were Mr. and Mrs. Peter Weiler, Veronica, Glen and Joan, John Zassenhaus, Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Weiler and Cheryl, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Laux, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Amacher, Marlene, Myra and Alvin, Myron Schulz, Russ Krueger, Gary Koehler, Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Weiler, Kenosha, and guests from Ashland, Bayfield, Phillips and Medford.

The bride is a graduate of Washburn High School and Northland College.

The groom graduated from Colby High School and is a student at Northland College.

After the honeymoon, the newlyweds will reside in Ashland where the bride will teach at Ashland High School and Mrs. Weiler will continue his education at Northland College. Their address will be 523 7th Ave. West at Ashland, Wis.
