Russell Roehl, 48, route 2, Loyal, was killed Tuesday night when the tractor he was operating flipped over backwards pinning him beneath it. It is believed that he was killed instantly.

Roehl was seen working a field rented from George Bentzler at the western city limits at 8:15 by Richard Meyer, Larry Meyer and Michael Bauer as they passed on the road. When they returned at 8:30 they discovered the tractor in the ditch.
