Kaiser, Ruth Magdalyn (Marriage - 18 November 1967)

Nuptial vows were repeated Saturday in a 1:30 p.m. nuptial mass in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby by Miss Ruth Magdalyn Kaiser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew C. Kaiser of Colby, and Robert Adrian Blume, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Blume of Curtiss. The Rev. John Olson performed the double ring ceremony. Approximately 200 guests witnessed as Mr. Kaiser gave his daughter in marriage.

For her wedding, the bride wore an A-line style dress. A white lace cage over a straight empire satin skirt was enhanced with satin trim on the hemline and the floor-length train. A bouffant veil was attached to a Malibu fur headpiece. She carried a crescent arrangement of yellow roses, blue carnations and white pompons.

Miss Ann Feldbruegge of Dorchester was maid-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Yost of Spencer and Linda Martens of Loyal. They were seen in medium blue lace A-line empire-style gowns. The skirts featured a chiffon cage opened at the front. Their Malibu fur headpieces held short veils. Each carried two-tone blue carnations and two buds on a bunny fur muff.

Mari Jo Kaiser served as miniature bride. Anthony Abney served as ringbearer.

David Poehnelt was bestman. Groomsmen were John Becker and Kenneth Severson. Mark Kaiser and Greg Blume ushered.

The new bride is a 1967 graduate of Colby High School and is employed in Abbotsford. The groom, a graduate of Owen-Withee High School, has employment with a silo company.
