EMMA BATES/CLARENCE E. COX MARRIAGE

Word was received from Porter, Wis., of the marriage of Mr. Clayton E. Cox to Miss Emma Bates. The young couple was married there on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 1916.

The groom is a son of Mr. Ernest Cox and was born and raised in our city (Greenwood, Clark County). He is a young man of good habits and has a host of friends here. The bride, although a stranger here, has a host of friends in her home town. They will reside at Whitewater, Wis., where they will be at home after Jan. 1st.

The Gleaner, together with the many friends of the groom in our city, wish them many years of happy married life.
