E. A. FREEMAN, merchant, Humbird. Born in Indiana, Porter County, Aug. 29, 1858, moved to Minnesota was engaged in the hardware business there returned home and while there worked at the tinner's trade in 1877, came to Humbird and went into the mercantile business with Mr. Cross, the firm's name being, Cross Freeman, now doing a good business and carrying a stock of $3,000 or $4,000. In 1879, Mr. Freeman married Miss Cora Wells, of Dakota. They have one child, Fannie Ora. He has been Town Treasurer since 1879.
