M. B. WARNER, merchant and farmer, Greenwood, was born in Wyoming Co., New York, Aug. 6, 1819. His parents went to Wadena Co., Ohio, where they farmed. After this, for a period of years, was engaged at different vocations. In 1855, came to Black River Falls went to lumbering, and followed the business for twenty years, part of the time in company with B. J. Spaulding they then owned about 8,000 acres. In 1871, he located on Sec. 15, Town of Warner, where he has a fine residence, living there and farming till he opened a store in Greenwood. In 1880 now living in the village and tending to his mercantile interests. Mr. Warner married Miss L. Richardson, of Black River Falls, in 1856. They have five children Leroy, David, George, Henry and Gertrude. William deceased. He has been chairman of County Board of Supervisors, and others belongs to the I. O. O. F. of which lodge he is vice-grand.
