Mr. Ure is a native of Clark County, and is one of the energetic young businessmen of Neillsville. He attended the Neillsville High School, after which he went to the Northwestern Business College at Madison, from which institution he grated in 1883. He studied law with James O'Neill and afterwards became one of the proprietors of the Neillsville Times. In 1881 he joined Company A., Third Regiment of the Wisconsin National Guard, and has been promoted at different times and is now captain of the company. He is also secretary of the Clark County Agricultural Society, and has held that office for several years. He has been engaged in lumbering quite extensively during the past two or three years and is now engaged in the mercantile business in Neillsville. He is still connected with the Neillsville Times.
