EDNA FAYE HUNT/C. H. BROWN MARRIAGE

The marriage of Dr. C. H. Brown and Miss Edna Faye Hunt was solemnized at 10 o'clock Thursday morning, June 16, 1904, in the presence of the bride's family, Presiding Elder F. W. Haight of Eau Claire officiating, the ceremony taking place at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Hunt.

Immediately following the ceremony the new husband and wife, in care of John Bryden, left for Withee, where they took the train for Chicago and Rockford, Ill., where they will spend a few weeks with relatives and friends. They will keep house in the Thorne place, now occupied by Prof. Aaron Heyward and wife. They will be at home , after Sept. 1st.

The doctor has long carried the reputation for something of a joker, but this time he scored a new triumph. He considered the plans for marriage as of interest solely to himself and those most interested and was guarded in keeping them from his many friends, who, however, were getting wise about the same time that Doc was getting married. Despite the numerous hastily conceived schemes for playing even the bridal pair made good their escape, the doctor leaving behind several notes addressed to numerous friends and the city marshal advising them of their being left.

The worthy bride and groom have bushels of good wishes for success and happiness in their married life, which is shared by their many friends throughout the county (Clark).
