ELSA BARLOW/ALOYSIUS N. SIMON MARRIAGE

A very happy wedding occurred last evening, May 1, 1907 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Barlow (Clark County), the bride being their daughter Elsa, and the groom Aloysius N. Simon. About forty relatives and friends were present to witness the ceremony, which occurred under a canopy of smilax and carnations.

At eight o'clock, as the sweet strains of Midsummer Night's Dream played by Mrs. F. W. Shrimpton, varied to Mendelsohn's wedding march, the groom, supported by Mr. L. I. Cysewski of Loyal, entered through the hall, taking their places beneath the bridal canopy in the drawing room, which, like the parlor, was decorated with smilax and carnations. They were joined by Miss Rose Bowen, who as maid of honor was becomingly gowned in light blue crepe de chine, and carried white carnations.

The bride, robed in a princess gown of cream eolione silk, trimmed with baby Irish lace, over silk foundation, and carrying Bridal roses, entered upon the arm of her father, by whom she was given to the groom. With the pretty ring service, Rev. W. T. Hendren tied the sacred knot which united them as husband and wife.

Following the ceremony, and after congratulations had been extended, refreshments were served, four young lady friends of the bride assisting in the serving. In the dining room a pretty color scheme of pink and green was carried out. As the guests departed with many wishes for a long and happy union, favors were gracefully bestowed.

Many beautiful and useful presents were received, which will be cherished as keepsakes.

Mr. and Mrs. Simon will make their home with the bride's parents, and later in the season enjoy a northern tour.
Those attending from away were Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Buck and Miss (the rest of my copy was cut off)
