 MARIE DAMEROW/EDWARD BRAUN MARRIAGE

The German Reformed Church was the scene of a very pretty wedding on June 10th, 1914 at three o'clock when, in the presence of relatives and friends, Miss Marie Damerow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Damerow, and Mr. Edward Braun were united in the holy bonds of matrimony by Rev. Otto Saewert. The church was beautifully decorated with ferns, plants and flowers.

As the strains of Beethoven's wedding march sounded forth, Lischen Damerow as organist, the bridal party marched up the aisle attended by Messrs. Max Damerow of Seattle, Wash. and Herbert Senhann of Columbus, Wis. as best men and the Misses Selina Braun and Agnes Damerow of Chicago, as bridesmaids. The ceremony was very impressive, the ring form being used.

The bride was handsomely attired in white satin and lace, trimmed with pearls. Her head was covered with a white bridal veil adorned with pearls and she carried a bouquet of bride's roses, which harmonized beautifully with the pale blue silk worn by the bridesmaids. The groom was dressed in the conventional black.

At the conclusion of the services in church, the bridal party repaired to the home of the bride's parents, where a bountiful wedding supper and an informal reception was given. The young couple were presented with many beautiful and useful gifts. The bride and groom are well known and respectable people and are both residents of this immediate locality (Greenwood, Clark County). They will make their home on the farm of the groom's father.
