Spencer, James (1935 - 1983)


Word was received of the death of James Spencer, 47, Billings, Mont., an area native. Death occurred on Sept. 24, 1983, of an apparent heart attack.

The body was cremated and interment was made at Billings.

He was born Oct. 8, 1935, at Neillsville, Clark County, to Wallace and Pearl Spencer, and was educated at Neillsville and Greenwood Schools. He had served in the Marine Corps, then lived in California for many years. It was in the spring of this year that he moved to Billings.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Scott (Tina) Beller of Billings, Mont. and Mrs. Galen (Linda) Liebzeit of Greenwood two step-daughters in California his mother, Mrs. Pearl Spencer of Neillsville two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Elsie) Parker of Black River Falls and Mrs. Arvid (Donna) Boyer of Neillsville one brother, Ralph of Minneapolis and four grandchildren.

His father, two sisters and three brothers are deceased.
