Jakobi, Bruce L. (4 JAN 1956 - 23 DEC 2001)


Bruce L. Jakobi, 45, Loyal, Clark County, died on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001, at Memorial Medical Center, Neillsville. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Our Father's House Christian Community Church, Chili. Burial was in Yolo Cemetery.

Bruce Lee Jakobi was born on Jan. 4, 1956, in Neillsville, to Roland and Irene (nee Brown) Jakobi. He was raised in the Loyal-Granton area and received his education in Loyal schools. He worked for several years for Schlinsog Dairy as a cheesemaker. He married Carol Springstead at Calvary Lutheran Church, Neillsville. They later divorced. He resided in Neillsville, Loyal and Owen before moving to a home southeast of Loyal in 1998. He assisted the Amish by driving them to destinations and working in a sawmill. His interests included car racing.

Survivors include his mother, Irene Jakobi, Granton four brothers, Ronald Jakobi, Granton, Kenneth (Rita) Jakobi, Granton, Richard Jakobi, Granton, and Roger Jakobi, Loyal nieces nephews and other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his father, Roland Jakobi, and a brother, Terry Jakobi.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements.
