Pietenpol, Ruth (22 MAR 1896 - 18 DEC 1984)
Services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21 at United Methodist Church, Granton, for Ruth Pietenpol, 88, of Granton, Clark County. She died at 11:03 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 1984 at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville, as a result of injuries suffered the week before in a Clark County traffic accident.

The Rev. C. Arlene Denzer officiated. Charlotte Drescher was the organist and Mrs. Donna Chase, soloist. Burial was in the Windfall Cemetery, Granton. Nephews were pallbearers.

She was born March 22, 1896 in the Town of York, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John (Nellie Davis) Pietenpol. She attended Maryvale School in the Town of York, Granton High School and Neillsville High School. She resided on a farm in the Town of York and for the past 25 years was a housekeeper for Irving Gower of Granton.

Survivors include a brother, Bernard Pietenpol of Marshfield two sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Trewartha of Neillsville and Mrs. Josephine Johnson of Ironwood, Mich.

She was predeceased by a brother, Frederick, and a sister in infancy.

Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton handled the arrangements.
