Holverson, Mary A. (22 OCT 1853 - 16 JUL 1890)

Mrs. A.H. Holverson died at her home in this city (Neillsville, Clark County), last Friday, July 16, 1890, after a lingering illness.

The deceased's maiden name was Mary A. Miller. She was born at Hartford, Wis., Oct. 22, 1853, and was married to A.H. Holverson Sept. 27, 1870, in this city. Her husband and two children, Carrie and Edward, Survive her.

Mrs. Holverson was a woman who believed that the duties of the home were paramount to the demands of society, and in the care of her children and home was her greatest happiness. Those who knew her best praise her good qualities, and were glad to be numbered among her friends.

The funeral took place on Sunday last from the family residence on Hewett Street, Rev. Jas. H. McManus conducting the services. The remains were followed to their last resting place by the largest concourse of people that has attended a funeral here for a long time. There were thirty-two vehicles in line.

The stricken family are assured of the sympathy of the community over their great loss.
