Graves, Mrs. John (OCT 1822 - 8 FEB 1895)


Mrs. John Graves died at her home in Loyal, Clark County, on Feb. 8th, 1895, of general disability, at the age of 72 years.

Mrs. Graves was born in New York, Oct. 1822, was married in 1842, came to Clark County and settled in Loyal in 1865, and was among the first settlers of that part of the county.

She leaves two sons and two daughters, S.D. Graves of Spencer, A.W. Graves of Loyal, Hulda Hills of Oklahoma, and Mrs. L.R. Booth of Colby.

The funeral services was held from the M.E. Church at Loyal on Monday, Feb. 11th, conducted by Rev. Foster of Neillsville, assisted by Rev. Hollman of Loyal, and Rev. Owen of Spencer.
