MRS. CARL KRAUSE

Mrs. Carl Krause, Sr., passed away at her home in the town of Grant at 10:45 p.m. April 25.

She was born Emilie Augusta Roder, daughter of Carl and Ann Roder, August 2, 1871, in the town of Grant. She was married June 18, 1923, at the age of 20. Six sons and a daughter survive to comfort their father, namely: Oscar, Louis, Martin and Edward, at home and Hilda, Mrs. Merton Holt, all of the town of Grant Carl, Jr., town of Washburn, and Reinhold, Marshfield. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Ernestine Nitschke, town of Lynn. two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.

The departed was 71 years, 8 months and 23 days of age.

Funeral services were held last Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Gilbertson Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at the American Lutheran Church in the town of Grant.

The six sons, Oscar, Reinhold, Carl, Jr., Louis, Martin and Edward acted as pall bearers. The flower girls, nieces of Mrs. Krause, were Mrs. Ernest Vine, Mrs. Louis Breseman, Mrs. Leland Bass, Mrs. Arthur Dux and Lydia Guenther.

Those who came from distant places to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Krause, Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wehrman, Eddie Wehrman, Mr. and Mrs. Art Wehrman and Ed Dobbe, all of Greenwood Mrs. Arthur Gloff, Stratford Mr. and Mrs. Emil Arndt, Marshfield Mr. and Mrs. Anton Brohelden, and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Klinkenberg, Ettrick.
