Mellenthin, Karen S. (7 DEC 1963)

Miss Karen Sue Mellenthin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Mellenthin, Spencer, exchanged marriage vows with Dennis Frederick Larson, son of Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Zimmerman, Unity, on Saturday, Dec. 7, 1963. The 2 p.m. ceremony was performed by Rev. M.L. Yonker at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Riplinger.

The bride appeared in a gown of ivory and satin brocade, with gold accessories and a red rose corsage.

The maid of honor, Nancy Mellenthin, wore a street length mustard satin brocade gown with white accessories and a pink tea rose corsage. Alan Justman of Unity acted as best man.

For the wedding, the church was decorated in gold and white chrysanthemums, and Carol Rae Edblom sang "O Perfect Love" and "The Lord's Prayer."

Following the ceremony a reception and supper were held at the Mellenthin home.

Miss Mellenthin graduated from Spencer High School in 1963, and has been employed since then at Weinbrenner, Inc., Marshfield. Mr. Larson graduated from the Colby High School in 1959 and is presently in the submarine service, U.S. Navy.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Larson will honeymoon in Wisconsin and Minnesota, after which they will make their home in Vallejo, Calif.
