Haas, Keith Patrick “Junior” (6 August 1958 - 28 January 2013)

Keith P. Haas, age 54, of Thorp, passed away at Our Lady of Victory Hospital, in Stanley, on Monday, January 28, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Cindy’s in Thorp, with Rev. Don Meuret officiating. Visitation will be held at Cindy’s on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until time of service. Thorp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Keith P. “Junior” Haas, age 54, of Thorp, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2013, at Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Stanley. Visitation was held at Cindy’s on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Keith Patrick Haas was born on August 6, 1958, in Sheboygan, WI, the son of Wilfred and Irene (Ciolkosz) Haas. As a young boy, his family moved to Thorp, where he was raised and received his education, graduating from Thorp High School in 1976. He married Carol Wampole on May 4, 1996. Keith began working as a carpenter for his brother-in-law, Bill Badzinski, while still in high school. He then worked several years for Bill Sopiarz, Sopie’s Siding, and later for Joe Alger at Alger Construction. Keith was currently working at New Horizon Community Care in Thorp.

He had many interests, but especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends, fishing, the Packers, playing cards, and his dog Tucker.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Carol, of Thorp; one son, Corey Haas of Thorp; two step-children: Amber Baures of Boyd and Sam (Melissa) Wampole of Thorp; four grandchildren: Quintin, Preston, Khloe and Morgan; his mother, Irene Haas of Thorp; his siblings: Thomas (Donna) Haas of Stanley, Kathleen Kobylarczyk of Thorp, Joseph (Shirley) Haas of Withee, mary (Bill) Badzinski of Stanley, Kristine Stuttgen of Thorp, Karol (Alan) Debevec of Greenwood, and Paulette Haas of Thorp; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Keith was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Allen Haas.
