Greenwood High School (40 Year Reunion - 1968)

Fifteen of the 25 members of the Greenwood High School class of 1928 and their spouses attended their 40th anniversary reunion dinner at K-Corners near Loyal Thursday night. John D. Wuethrich was the master of ceremonies. Each classmate was called on to give a short talk on what he had been doing the last 40 years. Durward Schwarze presented each classmate with an appropriate gift and a picture of the group taken “way back when,” with a verse and an old picture of each one. The evening was spent in reminiscing and passing around pictures of children and grandchildren.

All were in favor of meeting again in five years, the date to be the nearest Saturday to Memorial Day.

Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Christie of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Jack (Dorothy Decker) Shortess of Spencer; Mrs. Elenor (Dahlby) Plank of Greenwood; Harry Gunderson of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Fred (Rose Humke) Timmler of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Martin (Josephine Jordan) Ryona of Withee; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Macknick of Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. R. Wuethrich of Greenwood; and Mr. and Mrs. George (Margaret Andrews) Hoehne of Greenwood.
