Stahnke, Alvin "Al" W. (2 MAY 1926 - 2 JAN 2013)

Alvin "Al" W. Stahnke, 86, Medford, died on Wednesday, Jan. 2 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment of his cremated remains will take place at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II.

Hemer Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH:
May 2, 1926 at Athens, WI.

EDUCATION:
Athens elementary schools.
Attended Athens High School.

MARRIAGE INFORMATION:
October 30, 1943 at Merrill, WI to Marie Krause. She preceded him in death May 12, 2010.

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE:
After his education he entered the US Army and was a veteran of WW II. After the service he owned and operated an appliance business in Racine for a period of time. Then he was a business partner at LaViolette Refrigeration, Inc. in Milwaukee until retirement. He moved to the Township of Goodrich and worked in the woods in his retirement.

Allen (Jonell) Stahnke, Caledonia, WI.

GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: 3

Ronald (Mary Lynn) Stahnke, Naples, FL.

Dolores Wright, Necedah, WI.
Bernice Jorgenson, Orlando, FL.

Sandra Schroeder.

DECEASED SON:
Michael Stahnke.

DECEASED BROTHER:
Lester Stahnke.

DECEASED FATHER:
Fred Stahnke.
