Daubert, Marcella M. (August 15, 1913 - August 16, 2008)

 

Marcella M. Daubert, 95, Medford, died Saturday, Aug. 16 at Memorial Nursing Home in Medford, where she had resided the past 3 1/2 years.

 

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 19 at The United Church Of Christ in Medford, with Rev. Cathy Hinman officiating. Interment was at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II. Pallbearers were Jeff Kallenbach, Justin Hraby, Mark Willner, Wally Kummer and Brian and Tim Noland.

 

The former Marcella Gerstberger was born August 15, 1913 in Rib Lake to the late Ernst and Gertrude (Frank) Gerstberger. She attended Fawn Valley School.

 

On August 29, 1936 in Rib Lake she married Sam Daubert, who preceded her in death on October 9, 1994. They owned and operated a dairy farm in the Town of Corning, Lincoln County, from 1937 to 1976. They moved to Medford in 1976.

 

She enjoyed gardening and cooking.

 

Survivors include a son, George (Luella) of Medford; a daughter, Sandy (Mike) Kummer of Medford; three sisters, Emma Ziembo, Edna Rezutek and Betty Quednow, all of Rib Lake; three brothers, Elmer (Elsie), Art (Marlene) and Glendon "Sonny," all of Rib Lake; a sister-in-law, Angeline Gerstberger of Rib Lake; four grandchildren, Tami (Jeff) Kallenbach, Lisa (Brian) Noland, Mark (Lori) Willner, all of Medford, and Wally (Marsha) Kummer of Wausau; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Esther Kluckman and Alice Ziembo; and a brother, Otto.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family for designation at a later date.

 

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with arrangements.
