Olson, Cheryl Joy (July 18, 1961, - October 22, 2009)

Cheryl "Cheri" Joy (Armes) Olson, 48, Township of Spirit, died Thursday,
October 22, after complications from a sudden stroke.

A celebration of the memories of her life will be held on Saturday, November 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford. Family and friends will
be encouraged to publicly share their personal memories.

On July 18, 1961, Cheri was born in Burlington, Wis., to Richard A. Armes
Sr. and the late Carolyn J. (Wall) Armes. The family relocated in 1967 to
Pittsville where Cheri later graduated from Pittsville High School in 1979.

The same year she married Leslie M. Moeller, and on March 4, 1982, the two
brought their only daughter, Jessica J. Moeller, into the world.

The pair later divorced.

Cheri married Howard L. Olson in 1994 and relocated to the Township of
Spirit in Price County where she ran a Jersey dairy farm for 14 years. She
was recently employed at Marathon Cheese in Medford for the past years until
her death.

Cheri enjoyed interior design, favored Victorian Style, and beautifully decorated her farm home. Her hobbies included gardening, landscaping, flowers and plants. She took pleasure in gourmet cooking and recipe collecting, and social events such as the annual "Party on the Farm." Cheri loved animals including her Old English Sheepdogs, wine tasting and she possessed extraordinary homemaking skills.

In addition to her husband, Howard, survivors include her only daughter, Jessica (significant other Bryan Schmidt) Moeller of Oconomowoc; a stepson, Josh Olson, and a stepdaughter, Sheila Olson, both of Randolph; two sisters, Viki (Julian) Kulinski of Withee and Suzanne (Gary) Eickert of Denmark; a brother, Richard Armes Jr. of Marshfield; three nephews; one niece; and other relatives and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn (Wall) Armes in 2007; and a
stepdaughter, Laura (Olson) Kaczor in 2000.

Cheri's kindheartedness and giving nature exceeded her life as she left this
world the gift of life, as she was an organ donor.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Cheri's family to be designated
at a later date.

Hemer Funeral Home of Medford is assisting the family with arrangements.
