Andreson, Thomas Conrad (4 Nov. 1920 - 9 Jan. 2009)

Thomas Conrad Andresen, 88, of Litchfield, N.H., a former Medford resident, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2009.

A memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 25 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville.

Interment of his cremated remains will take place at Medford Evergreen Cemetery with graveside military rites performed by the Medford military honors team.

Thomas was born Nov. 4, 1920, at Medford. He attended Medford-area elementary schools and was a 1939 graduate of Medford High School. He attended University of Wisconsin-Madison for two years prior to World War II. He served in the Navy from 1941 to 1945 in the South Pacific.

He married Mary Lee Brost in 1946 at La Crosse, and she preceded him in death Dec. 26, 2007.

He split his employment years between corporate business (18 years) and government service (20 years). He retired from USDA Food & Nutrition Service in 1980. After retirement, they lived in Hayward for 18 years, where Mr. Andresen worked for the Sawyer Co. fuel assistance program.

He is survived by daughters Patricia Smith of Sandwich, Ill., Mary (Lyle) Frola of Oswego, Ill., and Kristen Andresen of Hayward; son Thomas (Patricia) Andresen of Litchfield, N.H.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Hemer Funeral Home is serving the family.
