Leinwander, Loretta A. (5 Aug. 1931 - 2 Nov. 2008)

FOND DU LAC -- Loretta A. Leinwander, 77, of Fond du Lac and Tucson, Ariz., passed away Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, at Kindred Hearts Memory Care Facility. Loretta was born Aug. 5, 1931, a daughter of Sig and Goldie Clarkson Rothmeier. Loretta was a graduate of Medford High School, after which she went on to further education for a bookkeeper. She was employed at numerous businesses in Medford, Marshfield and Fond du Lac throughout her working career.

On July 11, 1959, she married Patrick J. Leinwander. They lived in Marshfield until 1971 when they moved to Fond du Lac. In 1985, they moved to Tucson. They returned to Fond du Lac in 2004.

Loretta enjoyed hiking, reading, crossword puzzles, gardening, her cats and spending time with grandchildren, friends and family.

She was a member of Holy Family Parish.

Loretta is survived by her son, Craig Leinwander (special friend, Tish Brooks) of Fond du Lac; a daughter, Kris (Michael) Semler of Waunakee; grandchildren, Matthew and Danielle; one sister, Evelyn (Sam) Nelson of Owen; one brother, Alfred (Marjorie) Rothmeier of Medford; sister-in-law, Pauline Rothmeier of Brookfield; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Patrick; and two brothers, Bernard and Robert Rothmeier. Visitation: The family will receive relatives and friends at the Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division Street, Fond du Lac, from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, 2008.

Services: A Memorial Liturgy of the Word Service will be celebrated at Zacherl Funeral Home at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, 2008. Cremation has taken place.

Zacherl Funeral Home is serving the family.
