Mundt, Hilda (Marriage - 25 June 1934)

A very pretty wedding was solemnized at St. John’s Lutheran church at Stetsonville Monday afternoon at two o’clock, when Miss Hilda Mundt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Mundt of Stetsonville, became the bride of Eric Anderson of Marshfield, Rev. Krause officiating at the ceremony.

The church was decorated with ferns and vases of cut flowers.

The bride was beautifully attired in a gown of white satin, trimmed with lace, and wore a white silk tulle veil, falling in a sweeping train. Her flowers were tea roses and lilies of the valley, formed into a shower bouquet.

Miss Lavern Gallar, maid of honor, wore a pretty gown of pink lace, and a large picture hat to match, and carried a bouquet of pink carnations and baby breath.

Miss Sadie Klimeck, the bridesmaid, wore a pretty gown of Nile green silk Maline net with large picture hat to match, and her bouquet was also of pink carnations and baby breath.

The groom was attended by Mr. Adolph Mundt, Jr., brother of the bride. The groom wore a suit of navy blue and his attendant wore a navy blue coat with white dannel trousers.

After the ceremony the bridal party gathered at the H. J. Cornelius home at Abbotsford, where an elaborate wedding dinner was served at 5 o’clock to about 40 friends and relatives. The long table was tastefully decorated with tall vases of pink roses and carnations. The large wedding cake was placed in the center of the table, with tall white lighted candles placed on each side. The chandeliers above the table were dimmed into a pink and green effect.

The following guests were present: Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Mundt and family, Rev. and Mrs. Krause, Mr. and Mrs. John Doeter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. Blozel, Miss Sadie Klimeck, Miss Lavern Gallar and Mr. Fred Walhardt of Stetsonville; Mr. Carl Mundt and family and Mrs. Harry Wescott of Colby; Mrs. John Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Meyer and family and Misses Ardis and Audrey Goldamer and Raymond Brunner of Abbotsford, and Mr. Charles Torgeson of Chippewa Falls.

In the evening a wedding dance was given at the Midway dance hall.

The young couple left Tuesday for northern Wisconsin and Canada and will be at home after July 1st at Marshfield, where the groom is employed as mechanic at the Wagner-Pierwitz garage.
