Bergmann, Herbert G. (23 Sept. 1926 - 13 Jan. 2009)

Herbert "Herb" G. Bergmann, 82, of Medford died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at his home.

Services will be Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church in Medford. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services.

Bergmann was born Sept. 23, 1926, in the town of Goodrich to Henry Gustav and Elsie Charlotte (Harmel) Bergmann. He married Priscilla "Peachy" Yorde on July 23, 1955.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was stationed in the Philippines. He was a welder and farmer. He served as clerk for the town of Goodrich from 1966 to 2004 and was a county board supervisor from 1984 to 2002.

He is survived by his wife, Priscilla of Medford, children Susan (Dan) Thiede of Medford, Cindi (Jim) DeKoch of Zelienople, Pa., Nancy (K.C.) Corely of Stetsonville and Barb (Jeff) Ludwig of Medford; siblings Norman Bergmann and Roland (Jean) Bergmann, both of Medford, and Carol (John) Zinkowich of Athens; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
